This farms are an exceptional commercial farms, both for farming and holiday enjoyment.
The Kalahari is known for its stunning landscapes, ecosystems with a lot of fauna and flora species. Here you will find lots of Camel thorn trees and a diverse variety of grass. The property is divided in two title deeds, in total 2597 ha. Both the properties are divided by the N8 highway between Groblershoop and Griekwastad in the Northern Cape. The farms are approximately 60 kilometers from Groblershoop.
The northern parts are situated in the shade of the Langberg mountain range with rugged mountain landscapes. This area is excellent for sheep, and cattle farming. The southern part is a combination of harder terrain along some softer sandy areas. It is here where you will find the dry "Soutloop" river, last running during 1988. This area are cover with lots of trees.
The farm is well-equipped with 15 camps from small to large. All the camps are equipped with water troughs Water are supply by four boreholes with state-of the-art water pumping systems. The storage of the water include eight Jo-Jo tanks and two dams. The depths of the boreholes is between 11 - 60 meter.. 80% of the farm is secured with electrical fencing for effective predator control and peace of mind small livestock farming. For livestock management there are three sheep handling facilities and one for cattle. Also one loading facility for sheep and cattle.
The current livestock on the farm includes 25% cattle 10% goats and 65% sheep. There is no residential structure on the farm. so you could either built a new house or renovating the old farm house. The location of the old farm house is excellent and near a borehole with lovely fresh water. When you visit that spot you will understand what silent really means.
The wildlife on the farm is Steenbok, Duiker and lots of Kudu.
Your nearest town is Groblershoop with two Co-op's, FNB, U-Save and a Pharmacy. Upington is 120 km further down stream, big town with private Hospital and lovely mall.
